Tom Clancy (April 12, 1947 - October 1, 2013) was an American novelist, best known for his technically detailed espionage and military science storylines that are set during and after the Cold War. His most famous works include "The Hunt for Red October," "Patriot Games," and "Clear and Present Danger." In addition to writing, Clancy also co-founded a video game company, Red Storm Entertainment, which was later acquired by Ubisoft. Clancy passed away in 2013 at the age of 66.
