Kogure was known for her versatile acting abilities and played a variety of roles, ranging from romantic leads to strong, independent characters.

She gained critical acclaim for her performances in films such as "Street of Violence" (1947), "Carmen Comes Home" (1951), and "The Outcast" (1951).
