Anatoli Boukreev

Viktor Zubarev
Viktor Zubarev (April 10, 1973 Aksu, Kazakhstan-October 18, 2004 Omsk) was a Kazakhstani personality.
He was a professional ice hockey player who played as a forward. Zubarev began his professional career with the team Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk in 1990. He went on to play for several other teams including Ak Bars Kazan, Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, and Avangard Omsk. Zubarev was also a member of the Kazakhstan national ice hockey team and participated in several international tournaments such as the IIHF World Championships and the Winter Olympics.
Aside from his career in hockey, Zubarev was also an active philanthropist who was involved in charity work. He co-founded the Viktor Zubarev Foundation, which aimed to help children who were suffering from cancer. Unfortunately, he passed away at the age of 31 due to leukemia in 2004.
