Arvydas Bagdžius (November 23, 1958-April 5, 2015) was a Lithuanian personality.
He was a renowned basketball player who played forward for the Lithuanian national team in the 1980s and early 1990s. Bagdžius was a key player on the Lithuanian team that won the gold medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He also helped the Lithuanian team win the bronze medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, which was the first Olympics where Lithuania competed as an independent nation. In addition to his successful career as a basketball player, Bagdžius was also a successful businessman, and he served as the Chairman of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation. He passed away in 2015 at the age of 56.
Bagdžius began his basketball career at the age of 15 with the Kaunas sports school, and later played for the Žalgiris Kaunas, one of the most successful basketball teams in Lithuania.
