Param was born on November 17, 2014 in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. He started his acting career in the mid-1950s and was considered a leading actor in the Malay film industry during his time. He acted in over 100 Malay films throughout his career and was well-known for his versatile acting skills.
Apart from acting, Param was also a singer and a scriptwriter. He wrote scripts for many of the films he acted in, and some of his films went on to become box office hits.
Param was also actively involved in the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), a political party that fought for the rights of the Indian community in Malaysia. He was appointed as an MIC senator in 1964 and served in the Senate until 1978.
Param passed away on August 14, 2009 in Kuala Lumpur at the age of 94. He was a celebrated actor and a true legend of the Malay film industry, and his contributions to the industry and the Indian community in Malaysia are remembered to this day.
