Paul Holmes

Paul Holmes (April 29, 1950 Hawke's Bay-February 1, 2013 Pukehou) also known as Paul Scott Holmes, Sir Paul Scott Holmes or Holmes, Paul was a New Zealand journalist and actor. His children are called Reuben Holmes and Millie Elder-Holmes.

He died caused by prostate cancer.

Holmes started his journalism career as a cadet reporter for Hawke's Bay Herald-Tribune in 1969. He then moved to Radio New Zealand and later on to Television New Zealand. He became one of New Zealand's most prominent journalists and broadcasters, hosting several TV shows and radio programs. Holmes was also known for his coverage of major events such as the 9/11 attacks and the 2011 Christchurch earthquake. In addition to his journalism work, he also had a brief acting career and appeared in some New Zealand films and TV shows. In 2013, Holmes passed away at the age of 62 after battling prostate cancer for several years.
