Peter Gwynne began his acting career on stage before transitioned to TV and movies. He appeared in numerous TV shows such as "Xena: Warrior Princess" and "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys", and movies such as "Crooked Earth" and "The Castle". He was also a prolific voice actor, lending his voice to various characters in animated TV shows and video games such as "Power Rangers: Jungle Fury" and "Dark Reign 2". In addition to his acting career, Gwynne was also a passionate advocate for Maori language and culture, and he volunteered his time to teach Maori language in schools. He passed away at the age of 62 due to cancer.

Eru Potaka-Dewes (April 5, 2015 Ruatoria-August 7, 2009 Rotorua) was a New Zealand actor.
Born to a Maori family in Ruatoria in 1930, Eru Potaka-Dewes was raised in a rural community and spoke Te Reo Maori fluently. He eventually moved to Rotorua where he became involved in the performing arts community, acting in stage productions and ultimately transitioning to film and television. Potaka-Dewes appeared in several well-known New Zealand films, including "Once Were Warriors" and "Whale Rider". He also worked as a cultural advisor for productions, using his knowledge of Maori culture and language to ensure accurate representation on screen. In recognition of his contributions, Potaka-Dewes was awarded the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the arts in 1999. He passed away in 2009 at the age of 79.
