Oscar Larsen

Oscar Larsen (September 11, 1887-April 16, 1975) was a Norwegian actor.

He began his acting career in 1913, and over the course of his career he appeared in over 60 films. Larsen was also known for his work on stage, particularly in the plays of Henrik Ibsen. In addition to his acting, Larsen was also a director and producer of films. He was considered one of the top actors in Norway during the 1920s and 1930s. Despite the rise of the Nazi party in Germany, Larsen continued to work in German films during the 1930s. In 1940, when Germany invaded Norway, Larsen and his family fled the country and eventually settled in Sweden. After the war, he returned to Norway and continued to act in films until his retirement in the 1960s. Larsen was awarded the King's Medal of Merit in Gold in 1967 for his contributions to Norwegian cinema.
