Knut Wigert

Knut Wigert (October 3, 1916 Skien-June 14, 2006 Oslo) also known as Knut Hansen was a Norwegian actor.

Wigert was a talented actor who began his career in the 1930s when he was discovered by the famous Norwegian theatre director, Agnes Mowinckel. He made his stage debut in the play "Olav Liljekrans" in 1938 and soon became a regular member of the National Theatre in Oslo.

Aside from his work in theatre, Wigert also acted in several films, including "Den forsvundne pølsemaker" (1958) and "Gyldne ungdom" (1952). However, it was his role in the film adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's "The Wild Duck" (1984), directed by Hans Petter Moland, that gained the most attention and critical acclaim.

In addition to his acting career, Wigert was also known for his political activism. He was a member of the Norwegian resistance during World War II and later became involved in left-wing politics.
