Marius Eriksen, Jr.

Marius Eriksen, Jr. (December 8, 1922 Oslo-July 6, 2009) also known as Marius Eriksen was a Norwegian alpine skier, fighter pilot and actor. His child is called Beate Eriksen.

Marius Eriksen started his career in skiing in the 1950s and won multiple gold medals at the Norwegian Championships. He also represented Norway at the Winter Olympics in 1952 and 1956. During World War II, he served as a fighter pilot for the Norwegian Air Force and trained with the British Royal Air Force.

Along with his career in skiing and aviation, Eriksen was also an accomplished actor. He appeared in several Norwegian films, including "Ni Liv" and "Det brenner i natt!". Later in his career, he became a popular television personality and hosted the Norwegian version of "Jeopardy!" for several years.

Despite his success in sports and entertainment, Eriksen's personal life was marked by tragedy. His wife died in a car accident in 1969, and his only son, who had joined the Norwegian military, was killed by a land mine in Lebanon in 1988. Eriksen lived the rest of his life in Norway and passed away in 2009 at the age of 86.

In addition to his successful acting career, Christensen was also a passionate political activist, campaigning for various causes including environmentalism and socialism. He passed away in Oslo at the age of 75.
