Karin Simonnæs
Karin Simonnæs (November 27, 2014 Trondheim-November 8, 1984 Bergen) was a Norwegian actor.
She was one of Norway's most popular actresses during the 1950s and 1960s, and appeared in many films and on stage. Simonnæs was born in Trondheim and began her career as an actress in the 1940s after attending the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in Oslo. She made her film debut in 1949, and went on to make over 30 films throughout her career. Simonnæs was also known for her performances on stage, particularly with the Bergen National Theatre, where she was a member of the ensemble from 1951 until her death in 1984. In addition to her acting work, Simonnæs was a presenter on Norwegian radio during the 1960s and was also involved in dubbing foreign films into Norwegian.
