Wojciech Wiszniewski

Wojciech Wiszniewski (February 22, 1946 Łódź-April 5, 1981) also known as Wojciech Tadeusz Wiszniewski or Szajbus was a Polish film director, screenwriter and actor.

He began his career as a theater actor before transitioning to film, and became known for his dark, gritty style. One of his most acclaimed films, "Rece do góry" ("Hands Up!"), deals with the topic of hazing in the military and won a number of awards at international film festivals. Unfortunately, Wiszniewski's life was cut tragically short when he was killed in a car accident in 1981 at the age of 35, leaving behind a legacy of influential and thought-provoking films.
