Eugeniusz Bodo was born to a Swiss father and Polish mother. He was raised in Russia where his father worked as a physician to the Tsar family. Bodo started his career in entertainment as a stage actor, performing in Warsaw, Berlin and Paris. He gained immense popularity for his roles in Polish silent films in the 1920s and 1930s, earning him the nickname "The King of Polish Actors".
In addition to his acting career, Bodo also found success as a film director, screenwriter, singer and film producer. Haupt made his acting debut in Germany in 1908 and later moved to the United States in the 1920s. He appeared in numerous films throughout his career, including "The Lost Patrol" (1929), "All Quiet on the Western Front" (1930), and "Dracula" (1931). Haupt was known for his versatility as an actor and played a wide range of characters in both silent and sound films.
