Maria Chmurkowska (January 9, 1901 Warsaw-June 9, 1979 Warsaw) was a Polish actor.

She started her acting career in 1917 at the age of 16 and became one of the most celebrated actors of her time. Chmurkowska appeared in over 70 films, including "Pani minister tańczy" (1937) and "Za co?" (1959), and worked with some of the most respected Polish directors such as Michał Waszyński and Konrad Tom. She was also known for her stage performances, particularly with the National Theatre in Warsaw. In addition to her acting career, Chmurkowska was an active member of the cultural community in Poland and supported various humanitarian causes. After her death in 1979, she was posthumously awarded the Commander's Cross with Star of the Order of Polonia Restituta, one of Poland's highest honors.
