Irena Skwierczyńska (April 26, 1897 Warsaw-May 15, 1984 Warsaw) a.k.a. Irena Skwierczynska was a Polish actor.
She began her career as an actor in 1919, with a small role in a theater production in Warsaw. Throughout her career, she acted in various theater productions and films, and became known for her versatility as an actor, being equally adept at performing in comedic and dramatic roles.
In the 1930s, Skwierczyńska also became a radio personality, hosting her own programs and contributing to broadcasts on a regular basis. During World War II, she was active in the Polish resistance movement and used her acting skills to help smuggle information and resources to those in need.
After the war, Skwierczyńska continued to act and perform on stage, as well as appearing in several films. She was also an advocate for the rights of actors and other performers, and played an important role in organizing the first national congress of Polish actors in 1948.
