Nikita Mikhalkov comes from a family with a rich artistic background. His father, Sergei Mikhalkov, was a renowned children's writer and his mother, Natalia Konchalovskaya, was a poet and translator. Nikita's elder brother, Andrei Konchalovsky, is also a prominent film director.
