Alexander Stojanovic

Alexander Stojanovic (May 21, 1939 Belgrade-October 29, 1990 Yugoslavia) was a Serbian film producer and actor. His children are called Marija Stojanovic and Milan Stojanovic.

After graduating from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Stojanovic began his career in the film industry as a production assistant. He later became a producer and worked on numerous films in Yugoslavia, including "Walter Defends Sarajevo" and "When Father Was Away on Business." He was also known for his work in theater, as an actor and producer.

Stojanovic was a member of the Yugoslav Communist Party and was actively involved in politics. He served as a member of the Serbian Parliament from 1978 to 1982.

In 1990, Stojanovic was assassinated in Belgrade. His death is believed to be politically motivated, as he was known for his opposition to Slobodan Milosevic and the Serbian government at the time. His murder remains unsolved.

Mihajlo Popovic

Mihajlo Popovic (February 21, 1908 Belgrade-July 18, 1990 Belgrade) also known as Mihajlo A. Popovic, Mika, M.A. Popovic or Mika Popovic was a Serbian screenwriter, actor, film director and cinematographer.

Popovic was one of the most important and respected figures in the Yugoslav film industry. He studied film in Moscow and began his career in the 1930s, writing scripts for films such as "The Battle of Kosovo" and "Border Whistle". He went on to direct and shoot several successful films, including "The Taming of the Shrew" and "The Magnificent Seven". Popovic was also a co-founder of the film production company Avala Film in 1946. In addition to his contributions to film, he was a respected writer and translator, having translated works by Chekhov and Gorky into Serbian. Popovic was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Golden Arena Film Festival in Pula in 1985.
