Peter Staník

Peter Staník (July 14, 1947 Košice-February 25, 1995 Nitra) was a Slovak actor.

He started his career in the theater, becoming a member of the Slovak National Theater in 1972. Staník was known for his roles in the films "Death Is Called Engelchen" (1963), "Three Wishes" (1977), and "The Millennial Bee" (1983), among others. He also appeared in several television shows, including "The Key for Determining Dwarfs or the Last Travel of Lemuel Gulliver" (1989) and "Captain from Köpenick" (1997). In addition to acting, Staník also worked as a voice actor, dubbing foreign films and TV shows into Slovak. He was awarded the title of Merited Artist in 1983 for his contributions to Slovak acting. Staník died in 1995 at the age of 47.

During his tenure at the Slovak National Theater, Peter Staník became one of its leading actors, performing in numerous plays both in Slovakia and abroad.
