She began her career on stage in South Africa and England before moving to the United States in 1914. In Hollywood, she appeared in over 150 films, including notable roles in "Gone with the Wind" and "The First Legion". Weston was known for her versatility in a variety of supporting roles and was a familiar face in many films throughout the 1930s and 1940s. She was also active on television, making guest appearances on popular shows such as "Lassie" and "Bonanza". Aside from acting, Weston was a talented painter and exhibited her works in numerous art shows. She passed away in 1976 at the age of 86.

Despite being born in Cape Town, Weston grew up in England after her family relocated there when she was a child.
