He began his acting career in 1999 with the KBS drama School. Since then, he appeared in numerous TV dramas such as Love and Ambition, Sang Doo! Let's Go to School, and The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince. In addition to his TV work, he also appeared in several films, including The Last Wolf, The Twins, and Blue.

Ahn Jae-hwan was also known for his humanitarian work. He served as a goodwill ambassador for the Korean National Red Cross and was active in helping those with disabilities.

He began his career as a runway model before transitioning to acting. Lee Eon's breakthrough role was in the 2006 television drama "The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince", where he played the character of Hwang Min-yeop. He received critical acclaim for his performance and quickly became a fan favorite.

Lee Eon went on to appear in several more television dramas, including "Night after Night" and "Strongest Chil Woo". He also starred in the 2008 film "Gosa".
