She began her career as a dancer and singer in Madrid, and later transitioned to acting in both Spain and the United States. In the early 1930s, Moreno moved to Hollywood and was immediately cast in several films, including "Carmen" (1932) and "Hola, España" (1935). She also appeared in vaudeville shows and toured with bands as a singer.
Moreno made a successful transition to television in the 1950s and appeared in numerous popular TV series, including "I Love Lucy," "The Twilight Zone," and "The Untouchables." She continued to act in films throughout her career, with notable performances in "The Toast of New Orleans" (1950) and "The King and I" (1956).
