Lund wrote the screenplay for several popular Swedish films in the 1920s and 1930s, including "The Phantom Carriage" (1921) and "Gösta Berling's Saga" (1924), both directed by Victor Sjöström.

As a director, Lund made films such as "A Cottage on Dartmoor" (1929) and "Tofta gård" (1943). He was also known for his work as a film critic and was an influential figure in the development of Swedish cinema.
