Born in Fors, Sweden in 1921, Britta Holmberg began her career as an actor in the late 1940s in her home country. She appeared on screen in several films, including "The Saucepan Journey" (1948) and "The Girl from the Third Row" (1949), before making her way to the U.S. to continue her acting career.

Birgitta Arman (August 3, 1921 Stockholm-April 13, 2007 Stockholm) a.k.a. Birgitta Maria Arman was a Swedish actor.
She was born to a family of artists and began her acting career in the 1940s. She performed primarily in theater, both in Stockholm and elsewhere in Sweden. Arman was also cast in over twenty films throughout her career, including the 1959 film "Raggare!" and the 1964 film "Älskaren." In addition to acting, Arman was involved in cultural advocacy and was appointed as the director of the Swedish Film Institute in 1978. She held this position for ten years, during which time she worked to secure funding and support for Swedish cinema. Arman was also an advocate for women's rights and served as the president of the Swedish Association of Women in Film and Television. She continued to act on stage and onscreen throughout her life, and was awarded the Kristallen award for lifetime achievement in 2000. Arman passed away in Stockholm in 2007 at the age of 85.
