She was known for her roles in Swedish drama films such as "Utvandrarna" and "Nybyggarna". She also acted in stage productions at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. In addition to her acting career, she was an interpreter and translator, fluent in several languages including English, French, and German. Later in life, she moved to the town of Munkedal in western Sweden where she lived until her death in 2004 at the age of 82.
