Eugeniusz Bodo (December 28, 1899 Geneva-October 7, 1943 Kotlas) otherwise known as Bohdan Eugène Junod, Bogdan Eugeniusz Junod, Eugene Bodo or King of Polish Actors was a Swiss film director, actor, screenwriter, singer, film producer and comedian.

He died in starvation.

Eugeniusz Bodo was born into a family of musicians and had a passion for the arts from a young age. He began his career in the entertainment industry in 1919 as a stage actor in Warsaw, Poland. Bodo quickly rose to fame due to his talent for comedy and singing, and he became one of the most popular actors in Poland in the 1920s.

In addition to acting, Bodo also began directing and writing screenplays. He appeared in over two dozen films and directed six. His films were known for their wit, charm, and cinematic innovation. Bodo starred in the first Polish talking picture, "The Singing Blacksmith", in 1932.

Despite his success in Poland, Bodo had to flee the country due to the outbreak of World War II. He moved to France and continued to work in the film industry there. However, when France fell to the Nazis, Bodo was arrested and sent to a concentration camp. He eventually ended up in the Kotlas camp in Russia, where he died of starvation in 1943.
