Loosli began his acting career in the 1940s and went on to become one of Switzerland's most distinguished actors. He acted in more than 200 films, TV shows, and theater productions throughout his career, and was known for his versatility, playing roles that ranged from dramatic to comedic. Loosli was also a director and producer, and served on the board of the Swiss Film Archive. In addition to his career in acting, Loosli was an accomplished musician and composer, and often incorporated his musical talents into his work as an actor. He was honored with numerous awards throughout his career, including the Swiss Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1994. Loosli passed away in 2011 at the age of 92.
