Seifert appeared in over 60 films throughout his career and was considered one of Germany's most popular character actors in the 1930s and 1940s. In addition to his work in film, he was also a successful theatre director and worked at several notable theatres throughout Germany. Seifert was also a prolific screenwriter and wrote the scripts for several successful German films. However, his career was cut short when he passed away at the age of 47 due to a heart attack.
