Walter Giller

Walter Giller (August 23, 1927 Recklinghausen-December 15, 2011 Hamburg) was a West German actor. His children are called Jan-Claudius Giller and Natascha Giller.

Walter Giller began his acting career in 1947 in Hamburg and became known for his comedic roles in popular German films of the 1950s and 1960s. He starred in over 70 films throughout his career, including "The Captain from Köpenick," "The Happy Years of the Thorwalds," and "The Marriage of Mr. Mississippi." Giller was also a successful stage actor and performed in numerous productions across Germany. In 1956, he won the Bambi Award for Best Actor. Despite his success, Giller retired from acting in 1986 after suffering a stroke. He later passed away in 2011 at the age of 84 in Hamburg.
