He is best remembered for his roles in several popular TV shows and movies that included "The Twilight Zone," "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," "Matlock," "The Patriot," and "Top Secret Affair". Gibberson began his acting career in the early 1950s and appeared in numerous stage productions before making his way to Broadway in 1958. Over the course of his career, he became known for his versatility and ability to portray a wide range of characters. Aside from acting, Gibberson was also a talented athlete and a skilled painter. In his later years, he continued to work in the entertainment industry and remained an active member of the Screen Actors Guild until his death in 1994.
