Dawson began his career as a stand-up comedian in England before moving to the United States in the 1960s. He gained popularity as a regular panelist on the game show "Match Game" and later as the host of "Family Feud" from 1976 to 1985 and again from 1994 to 1995. Dawson was known for his quick wit and charm, as well as his tendency to kiss female contestants on the show.
