Guadalupe Larriva

Guadalupe Larriva (July 28, 1956 Cuenca-January 24, 2007 Manta, Ecuador) was an Ecuadorean politician.

Larriva was a member of the left-wing Socialist Party and was known for her work in advocating for social justice and equality in Ecuador. She served as a member of the National Congress from 1998 to 2000 and later became the presidential candidate for her party in 2002 elections. Larriva was also a prominent activist and worked to advance the rights of indigenous people, women, and workers in Ecuador. Her untimely death in the helicopter crash was a great loss to the political and social justice movements in Ecuador.

After completing her secondary education, Larriva went on to study at the Central University of Ecuador, where she graduated with a degree in political science. She was later appointed as the governor of Azuay Province, and she became known for her strong leadership and dedication to improving the lives of those she served.
