Carl Wayne (August 18, 1943 City Hospital, Birmingham-August 31, 2004 Birmingham) also known as Wayne, Carl or Colin David Tooley was an English singer and actor.

Carl Wayne was best known as the lead singer of The Move, a British rock band that emerged in the late 1960s. With hits such as "Blackberry Way," "Fire Brigade," and "Flowers in the Rain," The Move became one of the most popular bands of the era.

Aside from his music career, Wayne also appeared in several films and television shows, including the Beatles' movie "Magical Mystery Tour" and the TV series "Doctors." He even played the role of the Artful Dodger in a touring production of the musical "Oliver!"

In later years, Wayne became involved in politics, and he served as a Conservative Councillor in Birmingham for several years. He passed away in 2004 at the age of 61 after battling cancer.
