Patrick McGoohan

Patrick McGoohan (March 19, 1928 Astoria-January 13, 2009 Santa Monica) also known as Patrick Joseph McGoohan, Paddy Fitz or Joseph Serf was an Irish actor, television director, television producer and screenwriter. He had three children, Catherine McGoohan, Frances McGoohan and Anne McGoohan.

McGoohan is best known for his role as Secret Agent John Drake in the British television series "Danger Man" (1960-1962) and as the enigmatic Number Six in the cult classic television series "The Prisoner" (1967-1968). He also appeared in films such as "Ice Station Zebra" (1968), "Escape from Alcatraz" (1979), and "Braveheart" (1995). McGoohan was known for his intense and idiosyncratic performances and for his exploration of political and philosophical themes in his work. He won two Primetime Emmy Awards and a BAFTA over the course of his career.

Sean Lawlor

Sean Lawlor (January 25, 1954 Dublin-October 10, 2009 Dublin) also known as Seán Lawlor was an Irish actor and playwright.

He is best known for his role as Malcolm Wallace in the 1995 film Braveheart. Lawlor appeared in several films and TV series such as Veronica Guerin, Minder and Fair City.

Aside from acting, Lawlor was also a successful playwright, with his play Yeats Remembers premiering at the National Library of Ireland in 2010, a year after his death. He was also a member of the Gaiety School of Acting board of directors and taught acting and drama to young people in Dublin. Lawlor was married to actress Marie Mullen and they had one child together.

Charles Davis (August 31, 1925 Dublin-December 12, 2009 Thousand Oaks) a.k.a. Charles Jesse Davis was an Irish actor. He had one child, Maripat Davis.

Davis began his career in theater before moving to television and film. He started in the Dublin theatre and was part of the post-World War II Irish theatre scene. In 1951, he moved to London and eventually made his way to Hollywood. He appeared in many popular television shows of the 1950s and 60s, including "The Adventures of Robin Hood," "The Twilight Zone," and "Perry Mason." Davis is also known for his roles in films such as "The Little Shop of Horrors" (1960) and "The Night of the Grizzly" (1966). In addition to his acting work, Davis was also a playwright and screenwriter.

Richard Todd

Richard Todd (June 11, 1919 Dublin-December 3, 2009 Little Humby) also known as Richard Andrew Palethorpe-Todd, Richard Todd OBE or Richard Andrew Palethorpe Todd was an Irish actor, soldier and film director. He had five children, Seamus Palethorpe-Todd, Peter Palethorpe-Todd, Andrew Palethorpe-Todd, Flora Palethorpe-Todd and Jeremy Palethorpe-Todd.

Todd is best known for his leading roles in several World War II films such as "The Dam Busters" and "The Hasty Heart" which earned him a Best Actor nomination at the Academy Awards. He also starred in numerous other films including "The Longest Day" and "The Virgin Queen". However, despite his successful acting career, Todd often spoke about his time serving in the British Army during World War II as being the most defining period of his life. After the war, he continued to support military causes and was awarded the OBE in 1993 for his services to drama and to charity. Todd passed away at the age of 90 due to cancer.

Stephen Gately

Stephen Gately (March 17, 1976 Sheriff Street-October 10, 2009 Majorca) also known as Gately, Stephen, Stephen Patrick David Gately, Homeboy, Steo, Steve or Boyzone was an Irish singer, songwriter, actor, singer-songwriter, author, musician and dancer.

He rose to fame as a member of the Irish boy band Boyzone in the 1990s. Gately released several successful solo albums in the 2000s and also appeared on stage in various productions, including "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." He was also an advocate for LGBT+ rights and came out as gay in 1999, becoming one of the first openly gay pop stars. Tragically, Gately passed away at the age of 33 from a pulmonary edema while on vacation in Majorca with his partner. He was mourned by fans and fellow musicians alike, and his legacy lives on through his music and advocacy work.
