She was known for her unique voice and the fusion of traditional Middle Eastern music with modern Western genres. Of Yemenite Jewish heritage, Haza grew up in poverty in Tel Aviv and began singing at an early age. She gained international recognition in the 1980s with the release of her album "Shaday", which included the hit song "Im Nin'alu". Haza went on to release several more successful albums over the course of her career and collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Iggy Pop and Paula Abdul.
