In the 1930s, Novarro successfully transitioned to sound films and continued to act in movies throughout the following decades. He was also a talented singer and recorded several albums throughout his career. Tragically, Novarro was murdered in his home by two brothers who had been hired to rob him, shocking the Hollywood community and leading to a high-profile trial. José Jasso (November 27, 2014 Chihuahua-November 27, 1968 Mexico City) also known as José 'Ojón' Jasso, Jasso or El Ojón was a Mexican actor.

Jasso began his acting career in the early 1940s and appeared in over 100 films during his lifetime. He was known for playing tough, villainous characters in Mexican cinema. Some of his most notable films include "Los Tres Huastecos" (1948), "El Revoltoso" (1951), and "El Cielo y Tu" (1959).
