Kornelije Kovač is considered one of the most prominent and influential figures in the history of modern Serbian and Yugoslav music. He studied music from an early age, and went on to graduate from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. Kovač began his music career as a keyboardist in various bands, before eventually forming his own band "Korni grupa" in the 1960s. The band quickly became popular, and went on to release several critically acclaimed albums.

Some of his most notable roles include Rane in "The Marathon Family," directed by Slobodan Sijan, and Filip in "Barking at the Stars," directed by Zdravko Sotra. Janic retired in 2005, but continued to appear occasionally in movies and TV shows.
