Dragutin Keserović

Dragutin Keserović (November 21, 1896 Piroman-August 17, 1945 Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) was a Serbian military officer.

He fought in both World War I and World War II, rising to the rank of Colonel. Keserović also participated in the Balkan Wars and was actively involved in the April War of 1941 when Yugoslavia was invaded by the forces of Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy and Hungary.

In World War II, Keserović was a member of the Yugoslav Army in the Fatherland (JNA) and the commander of the 13th Infantry Brigade. He was killed in 1945 during the Battle of Ljubljana, which saw the JNA and the Yugoslav Partisans defeat Axis forces occupying the city.

Keserović was posthumously awarded the Order of the People's Hero, the highest military decoration given in Yugoslavia, for his contributions during the April War and the Battle of Ljubljana.
