Leopold Biberti

Leopold Biberti (September 18, 1894 Berlin-November 24, 1969 Frankfurt) was a Swiss actor.

Biberti was born in Berlin but grew up in Switzerland, where he started his acting career in the early 1920s. He appeared in numerous productions on stage and in films, and became one of the most famous Swiss actors of his time. In 1933, he moved to Vienna and worked for several years at the Stadttheater. In 1938, when Austria was annexed by Nazi Germany, Biberti fled to Switzerland and continued his career there.

After World War II, he returned to Germany and appeared in many films and TV shows. One of his most famous roles was in the 1962 movie "The Longest Day," where he played a German officer. Biberti was also a talented voice actor and dubbed many films into German. He received several awards for his acting, including the Swiss Film Award and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. Biberti died in Frankfurt in 1969, at the age of 75.
