Marcel Merminod (April 16, 1893 Lausanne-May 31, 1979 Lausanne) also known as Marcel Mermino was a Swiss actor.

Merminod was best known for his role as the beloved character "Didi" in the Swiss film "Uli the Tenant" (1941), which was directed by his brother, Leopold Lindtberg. He started his acting career in 1911 and went on to perform in both French and German language films. Merminod also worked as a stage actor and director in Switzerland and France. In addition to his acting career, he was a professor at the Lausanne Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. Merminod was honored with the Prix de la Ville de Lausanne, a cultural award given by the city of Lausanne, in 1973.

Throughout his career, Knapp appeared in over 120 films, working with directors such as Max Ophüls, Robert Siodmak, and Wolfgang Staudte. He was known for his versatility as an actor, able to play a variety of roles from comedic to dramatic. Despite being a prolific actor, Knapp remained humble and never sought the spotlight. In addition to his acting work, he was also a respected theater director and served as the head of the Basel Theater from 1954 until his retirement in 1970.
