Erol Günaydın (April 16, 1933 Akçaabat-October 15, 2012 Istanbul) also known as Erol Gunaydin was a Turkish actor and screenwriter. He had three children, Günfer Günaydın, Fatoş Günaydın and Ayşe Günaydın.

Erol Günaydın was born in the town of Akçaabat in Trabzon, Turkey. He was a graduate of the Ankara State Conservatory Theater department. After his graduation, he started his acting career in Ankara. He later moved to Istanbul to continue his career in the entertainment industry.

Günaydın starred in many successful Turkish movies and television series during his career, including "Namuslu", "Yaprak Dökümü", "Eyvah Kızım Büyüdü", and "Dudaktan Kalbe". He also wrote the screenplays for some of the movies he acted in, such as "Kara Gözlüm" and "Bizim Aile".
