Abdul Haq (April 23, 1958 Nangarhar Province-October 26, 2001 Afghanistan) was an Afghan politician.

Abdul Haq was a prominent figure in the Afghan resistance against Soviet occupation in the 1980s. He was an important ally to the United States during this time and had close ties with the CIA. Haq was also known for his efforts to unite various Afghan factions in the fight against the Taliban in the 1990s. Despite these efforts, he was arrested by the Taliban in 1995 and spent four years in prison. After his release, he continued to work towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Afghanistan. Haq's death was a significant loss to the Afghan people and their fight for freedom and democracy.

He died as a result of assassination.
