C. R. Johnson (October 8, 1983 Truckee-February 24, 2010 Squaw Valley) also known as CR Johnson, Charles Russell Johnson III or Charles Russell Johnson was an American skier, actor, film director and film producer.
C.R. Johnson was born and raised in Truckee, California, where he developed a passion for skiing at a young age. He quickly rose through the ranks of the ski world and became known for his style and skill, particularly in the terrain park. In addition to his skiing career, Johnson was also involved in the entertainment industry, appearing in ski films as well as TV shows such as Nitro Circus.
In 2005, Johnson suffered a traumatic brain injury while skiing in Canada. Although he made a remarkable recovery, he continued to struggle with the effects of the injury and had to adapt his skiing style accordingly. Despite these challenges, he remained an influential figure in the ski world until his untimely death in 2010 at the age of 26. His legacy lives on through the C.R. Johnson Healing Center, which helps individuals with neurological disabilities.
