Dorothy Hammerstein (June 7, 1899 Launceston-August 3, 1987 New York City) also known as Dorothy Hammerstein, Dorothy Blanchard Jacobson, Dorothy Blanchard or Mrs. Oscar Hammerstein was an Australian actor. She had three children, Susan Blanchard, Henry Jacobson Jr. and James Hammerstein.

Dorothy Hammerstein began her career as an actor in Australia in the early 1910s. She moved to the United States in 1929 to pursue her acting career on Broadway. She appeared in several plays and musicals during her career, including the original Broadway production of "Oklahoma!" and "South Pacific."

In addition to her acting career, Dorothy Hammerstein was also involved in philanthropic work. She was a founding member of the Women's Committee of the New York Philharmonic and served on the board of several charitable organizations.
