She was widely recognized for her talent and was awarded the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in "The Fringe Dwellers" in 1987. Despite her success in the entertainment industry, Adele continued to perform in the circus throughout her life and was known to bring her circus skills to the screen, performing many of her own stunts in her roles. She passed away in Sydney in 2000 at the age of 85.
