Rosy Afsari (November 27, 2014-March 9, 2007 Dhaka) otherwise known as Rosy Samad, Rozi or Rosy was a Bangladeshi actor.
She was born on November 27, 1948, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Rosy started her career in the film industry as a child actor in the late 1950s. She made her debut in the film 'Ei Ghor Ei Songsar' in 1959, directed by Khan Ataur Rahman, and acted in more than 100 films throughout her career.
Rosy is best known for her roles in the films 'Sareng Bou' (1978), 'Agun Niye Khela' (1974), and 'Ora Egaro Jon' (1972). She received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1975 for her performance in the film 'Taka Ana Pai'.
Apart from acting, Rosy was also involved in social work and was part of several social organizations. She was actively involved with the Bangladesh Awami League and served as a member of the central committee of the party's cultural wing.
Rosy passed away on March 9, 2007, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, at the age of 58. She will always be remembered as one of the most talented actors of Bangladeshi cinema.
