Norodom Vichara

Norodom Vichara (August 17, 1946 Phnom Penh-July 28, 2013 France) was a Cambodian politician.

He was a member of the royal family and served as a Minister of State in the government of Prince Norodom Ranariddh during the 1990s. Vichara was known for his efforts to promote national reconciliation and to rebuild Cambodia after the devastation wrought by the Khmer Rouge regime. He was also involved in various civic and humanitarian organizations, including the Cambodian Red Cross and the Friends of Cambodia charity. In 2012, Vichara was awarded the Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Cambodia for his distinguished service to the nation. He passed away in France in 2013 after a long battle with illness.
