Kang Ryang-uk was a prominent figure in the early days of North Korea and held several high-ranking positions within the government. He served as the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Vice Premier during his career. Kang was a close ally of North Korea's founder, Kim Il-sung, and played an active role in the country's political and economic development. In addition to his political work, Kang was also a scholar and wrote extensively on economics and Marxist theory. After his death in 1983, Kang was posthumously awarded the title of "National Hero."
