Anwar Sadat

Anwar Sadat (December 25, 1918 Mit Abu al-Kum-October 6, 1981 Cairo) also known as Anwar El Sadat, Anwar as-Sādāt or Anwar El-Sadat was an Egyptian politician. He had seven children, Gamal Sadat, Jihan Sadat, Camelia Sadat, Noha Sadat, Lubna Sadat, Rawya Sadat and Ruqayyah Sadat.

Anwar Sadat was the third President of Egypt, serving from 1970 until his assassination in 1981. He succeeded Gamal Abdel Nasser as president and was the first Arab leader to make peace with Israel, for which he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1978, along with Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin. Sadat also introduced economic liberalization measures, including the "Open Door Policy" to encourage foreign investment in Egypt. However, his relations with the Muslim Brotherhood, a conservative Islamic movement, deteriorated and led to increased violence and persecution of members. Despite this, Sadat remains a significant figure in Egyptian and Middle Eastern history, known for his leadership and efforts towards peace.

Patriarch Eutychius of Alexandria

Patriarch Eutychius of Alexandria (September 10, 0877 Fustat-May 11, 0940 Alexandria) otherwise known as Eutychius, Sa'id ibn Batriq or Bitriq was an Egyptian writer, general practitioner and priest.

He was also known for his role as the Coptic Orthodox Patriarch of Alexandria from 933 until his death in 940. Eutychius was a prolific writer and is best known for his Annals, a history of the world from Adam to his own time. The Annals are an important source of information about the early Islamic period and include details about the life of Muhammad and the early Muslim community. As a physician, Eutychius wrote a number of medical treatises, some of which are still extant. He was also involved in theological controversies and was known for his defense of the Orthodox faith against various heresies. Outside of his work as a scholar and spiritual leader, Eutychius was also an important political figure, serving as the head of the Coptic community and as a mediator between the Muslim rulers of Egypt and the Christian population.
