Josef Celerin

Josef Celerin (November 19, 1898 Pilsen-April 22, 1971 Prague) was a Czech actor.

He began his acting career in the Czech theater and later went on to work in film. Celerin appeared in numerous Czech films during the 1930s and 1940s, before being blacklisted by the communist regime in the 1950s. Despite this setback, he continued to act in theater productions throughout his career. Celerin was known for his versatile performances, often taking on roles in comedy and drama alike. He was also a respected voice actor, lending his voice to numerous Czech-dubbed foreign films. After his death in 1971, Josef Celerin was remembered as one of the great Czech actors of his generation.
