Oldrich Velen was a famous Czech actor who appeared in numerous films, television shows and stage productions throughout his career. Born on September 15, 1921 in Tuřany (Kladno District), he started his acting career in the early 1950s and quickly became a popular face on the Czech stage and screen. He was equally comfortable in comedy and drama, and was known for his ability to bring depth and complexity to his characters.
Velen appeared in more than 60 films over the course of his career, including notable works like "The Shop on Main Street", "The Firemen's Ball" and "Larks on a String".
